Confidence and Versatility: Sam’s Frontal Hairline Restoration with Dr Mani

Sam Hinkes
A 2,100-graft frontal hairline restoration using a density-gradient strategy — a hairline that performs short or long, wet or styled — for a property entrepreneur.
This patient presented seeking improved frontal framing, hairline softness, and long-term density stability — with preservation of styling versatility.
A total of 2,100 follicular unit grafts were meticulously implanted using a density-gradient strategy: 375 single-hair grafts along the leading edge for a soft, feathered, undetectable hairline; 1,000 double-hair grafts for structural support and natural transition; and 725 triple-hair grafts positioned posteriorly to maximise visual density and coverage. Special attention was given to bilateral cowlick management, ensuring directional harmony and natural flow in both dry and wet styling.
The result is a hairline that performs in real life — short or long, fresh out of the pool, under a cap, or styled back. The patient, a property entrepreneur, reports renewed self-assurance in professional settings, greater styling freedom and an elevated sense of identity.
From a medical optimisation standpoint: finasteride 1mg daily (ongoing), previously topical minoxidil, now transitioned to oral minoxidil to enhance follicular calibre, density retention and long-term outcome stability.
The objective is never just hair. It is facial balance. It is density integrity. It is longevity of result. It is quality of life.
