Can I Drive Home After a Hair Transplant?
Absolutely no. I do not recommend people drive themselves home. It's a very tiring day. Even though you're doing very little on the day of the procedure itself, being still for that period of time is very alien to most people. You're sitting in one position, not really allowed to move. You almost become a little stiff.
So, you'll feel tired by the time you finish the procedure. My advice is always get an Uber, get a taxi, or have someone that can take you home safely. Beyond the tiredness, it's also important to remember that some patients receive mild sedation or pain relief during the procedure, which can affect concentration and reaction times — making driving genuinely unsafe.
The last thing anyone wants after investing in their hair transplant is to put themselves or others at risk on the journey home. Plan your transport in advance, keep it simple, and give yourself the best possible start to your recovery from the moment you leave the clinic.
